Many industrial processes can be <strong>converted from fossil fuels to electricity<\/strong> and thus simultaneously reduce the energy consumption and  displace large quantities of CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Many involved partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I helped design the visual identity for &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Elektrificering af F\u00f8devareindustrien (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/More than 50 % of the energy consumption in the Danish food and beverage industry is based on fossil fuels. The project can accelerate the green transition of the industry that shows a significant potential. Many industrial processes can be converted from fossil fuels to electricity and thus simultaneously reduce the energy consumption and displace large quantities of CO2 emissions. A decarbonization by electrification in Denmark will be possible since the plan is to base the power production 100 % on non-fossil fuels in the future.\" target=\"_blank\">Elektrificering af F\u00f8devareindustrien<\/a>&#8220;, which involves a lot of big players. The project is a partnership between: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Danish Food and Drink Federation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Danish Energy Industries Federation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Danish Agriculture &amp; Food Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Danish Energy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical University of Denmark<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a aria-label=\"Viegand Maag\u00f8e (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.viegandmaagoe.dk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Viegand Maag\u00f8e<\/a> (I work here!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to mention all the food and beverage companies that the project are testing new electric technologies on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The people interacting with &#8220;Elektrificering af f\u00f8devareindustrien&#8221; will mainly be part of the corporate or industrial world, and as such the visual identity needed to be <strong>professional rather than cute<\/strong> or playful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I sketched a thousand different kind of logos and typefaces. Finally I ended up with different variants of a lightning combined with the typical icon for a factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped power<\/strong> or &#8220;oomph&#8221;, to illustrate something being electrified. As such I ended up with a palette with different shades of blue along with a bright yellow as an a accent for emphasis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the typeface, the strongest response among the demographic was for Roboto, which is a modern sans-serif font, but paired with the slightly more ornamental version Roboto Slab.<br><br>Both are available on <a href=\"https:\/\/fonts.google.com\/specimen\/Roboto+Slab?query=roboto#pairings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Google Fonts (opens in a new tab)\">Google Fonts<\/a>, which makes it easily available for all project partners to download and implement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img shows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8230; and more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The finished visual identity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With all of this in mind, we ended up with these
