Group assignment in which we had to create a magazine from scratch, and contribute a few pieces each. I wrote one long article, several fake ads, and served as assistant editor throughout the project.
Dream Away is a lifestyle magazine taking place in a fictional setting, never breaking the illusion of the chosen universe. Each issue explores going-ons in made-up worlds through features such as interviews, pro les, reviews, and advertisements of desirable products. The tone is kept light and seductive, t for a bi-annual publication of this kind. This edition will be set in 2089, focusing on a future where humanity colonised the solar system. Technology that is science ction today will evolve into common everyday applications for the population in 2089. Robots, interplanetary travel, and antigravity devices are all regular parts of the future we imagine.
