I worked closely with Christian Foghmar on a custom WordPress site for the Danish artist Albert Mertz. During the process the website’s capabilities evolved, and what I thought would be a simple portfolio-type site, turned into a bigger beast.
It needed custom language support, sorting algorithms for the different pieces of work, special internal systems for the day-to-day administrators of the site, and more.
Early on, we decided on a simple design with no wild fonts or colors, to let Albert Mertz’ signature blue/red images pop by themselves.
